Jen Lewis is the Special Projects Director for the Sonoma County Department of Health Services (DHS). She spearheads major initiatives, including departmental strategic planning, cross-agency whole person care strategies for high-needs populations, sustainable financing for eliminating health disparities, and efforts related to the Sonoma Developmental Center. Prior to this role, she was the Health Action Program Manager, supporting collective impact efforts to achieve equity and long-term improvements in education, health systems, and economic wellness in Sonoma County. Before DHS, Jen was the Assistant Director of the New York University Center for Latin America and Caribbean Studies. She served as an Agroforestry Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador and as an Environmental Education Coordinator for the Friends of Nature Foundation in Bolivia. Jen is a Culture of Health Leader with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and a Fellow of the Leadership Institute for Ecology and Economy. Jen holds Masters degrees in Environmental Management and International Relations from Yale University and a BA in Biology from Bryn Mawr College.
